2nd year of Secondary Education.
Point out the topics of the curriculum:
The main aspects of the curriculum and what can be
included in the story will be to use the Past Simple and tell a travelling experience taking into account all the structures and vocabulary seen all along the unit: Travel tales.
Objectives:
The objective of this activity is to work with new
technologies and show students that they can enjoy while learning at the same
time. The aim of this activity is them to continue George’s story in order to
create different endings for the one the teacher presents as a model the
students need to follow.
The best thing is not to set too many rules in order
the students to be quite free and let them work without restrictions. In a way
it will be a nice activity to see their voices recorded by a machine while telling
their story.
Target language to be used:
The language they need to use is English.
Criteria of assessment:
As I have already said it is not a good idea to give a
lot of instructions in exercises like this one, because by doing so the
students’ imagination gets restricted. The things that will be taken into
account will be the way to use the structures and the connection of ideas. But above
all: the imagination!
